The final issue was no better.
There is no Hulk/Thanos fight. There isn't even a Thanos/Hulk team-up, or interaction of any kind. In fact, Thanos only appears in one single panel in the entire issue. The whole issue revolves around the new Annihilus beating the crap out of Hulk.
Even by comics standards, this was some ridiculously misleading advertising.
Cheers.

Why was Thanos even in the story in the first place?

seriously, i just can't get over how sh!tty the series was. it truly was one of the worst series i have EVER read. i may have to go back to the early 80s to find worse writing. and the art of horrific throughout. i'll never look at starlin the same way again.....how the HELL did he get permission to put that series on a shelf?

He got forced to. He just wanted to make a Hulk book to setup his next gn.
Looking at it as a Hulk book though in an arc it's still pretty mediocre. Though it confirms about how powerful Starlin thinks Hulk is.

The words that Starlin put in the pages hyped the hell out of Hulk but the action was minimum at best. Hulk does have some good fts though like making Blaastar seem like an insect. Pushing off the entirety of the A wave and withstanding the full power of the cosmic rod.

Dunno. This was probably one of Marvel's worst little events in a while. What a terrible and incredibly misleading pile of shit.

I think Hulk will be superior physically but Thanos will beat him with brains and blasts ^^.
IOW Thanos blows the Hulk into submission.
Prof actually called it first, well done.

I think Starlin will write a close fight as he likes Hulk plus Marvel won't want/allow Hulk to get beat in a bad way after how Pak was hounded by Hulk fans after Zeus humiliated him.
Main thing is Carver will twist and take everything out of context in both for and against Hulk.
Meh, of the two predictions, your second prediction was much more accurate.

Don't know how long that will come into play but I think Starlin will do justice for both characters. He said that he will be using current Indestructible Hulk (Waid Hulk) for this fight and that version of Hulk has been d*** near unstoppable.
Interesting.

Nothing happened in those scans. Thanos knocked him down with blast without doing any damage, only making him angrier. But in the end, nothing happened, no fight.

Thanos casually put him down, he didn't even try to kill him as he needed him as pawn.
Hulk had no answer for him, plus he died easily from Annihilus blast.

He didn't do any damage to Hulk. It was just a knock down, nothing more, nothing relevant.
Let them make WBHulk vs. Thanos (under his own power, no technology or gems or any outside help) in comics and see what happens.

So Insane's second prediction was still valid.

because he didn't need to do anything more to put Hulk in his place. The gap in power was clear when the both faced a amped Annihilus.

We need the true power of Hulk (WB Hulk) vs. Thanos (under his own power, no technology or gems or any outside help), that would be only relevant how will Thanos match the real power of Hulk. Everything else is a downplayed Hulk.
