Kong himself was awesome, loves a jump from nowhere and smash haha.
I enjoyed the movie, great cast good story, just seemed there was [SPOILER - highlight to read]: too many extras who we all knew were going to be killed
I was surprised to read that this Kong was like 5 times bigger than Peter Jackson's one, bigger the better I suppose.
Anyways, I would give this one a sold 8/10 fairly enjoyed it and looking forward to whatever sequel v Godzilla they have in store

Did anyone notice that Kong walked upright like a man, instead of the typical all fours ape locomotion. Kind of an interesting choice, I'll be curious to see if they keep that in future movies.

Really depends, in the (original) Japanese version it's implied that the fight ended in a stalemate with both monsters surviving and going their separate ways.
Godzilla is 2-1 against kong in the original movie. At worst.
Kong ran away in the first fight. Loss.
Then kong ran through the city and charged himself up by eating powerlines. (That kong had an affinity for electricity)
Second fight, godzilla knocked him out with a kangaroo kick. Then he started burying kong alive under boulders and setting fire to his burial. Loss.
A freak storm comes out of nowhere and revives and amps kong.
Kong now has electricity powers too. Fight is still back and forth until they both fall off a cliff into the ocean. An earthquake happens and only kong managed to get out.
Kong basically needed three power ups (a size retcon and 2 electricity amps) and a lucky earthquake that trapped godzilla instead of him. Even with all that, he only managed an off-screen victory at best and still has a losing record to godzilla.
Godzilla then burrows out of the ground in godzilla vs mothra which was the next movie. Referencing the earthquake that he got trapped by.

It did my friend, I only read about it in IMDB, but when you think about how Jacksons Kong held Naomi Watt's in his fist , where as in this movie [SPOILER - highlight to read]: Kong just laid the lass Brie Larson in his palm and she looked tiny, like a pin would look in a human hand
I cant be bothered to go and check IMDb for figures but it was something like 2005 Kong was 25metres high, this one was over 110m

Kong came over as the winner when the fight ended. Kong will come across as looking better in the title matchup. You're free to back Godzilla but he's no Kong.
The evidence supports myself. We see how awesome Kong is despite not being fully grown. We see how quickly he problem solves and uses what's in the environment to his advantage. Mobility matters. Just as its a huge weakness of Vader's his slower than molasses mobility it will hurt Godzilla in their upcoming battle.
