Wonder if Vegeta will be the one to put Freeza down. Would certainly shut up the complaints about how he never gets to have a time to shine and by now Vegeta is basically a hero.
He's certainly the character with the deepest connection to Freeza but Goku vs Freeza is still the most iconic fight of the whole franchise. And Goku never did kill him, Trunks(Vegeta's son) killed him(somewhat fittingly).
Well, there was the future timeline where Goku killed Frieza and Cold on earth instead of Trunks by arriving there much earlier with instant transmission.
Feeling a little underwhelmed on Frieza's "new form", but think it may grow on me in time.
True but the impact is lost cause we never really see him finish Freeza.
I'm fine with the new form I guess. Would be bizarre for his anatomy to change that much so a Ki induced palate swap makes sense(in the same way it does for SSJ).
^That's mostly why I'm fine with the look. I wouldn't say it's as underwhelming as SSJ God in terms of appearance, but maybe that's just due to Freeza's species.
Huh, yeah... Appearance reminds me of the custom gold Meta Coolers players could make in Battle Of Z or something to that effect, though I'm sure Xenoverse's customizations could make something even closer looking to that new form.

Where Goku seems to be avoiding going Super Saiyan (since he said he doesn't need it?) it would be neat if Frieza was also holding back on another form lmao, like it took Frieza two months to achieve the golden one and then two more months of training in that form to achieve a second one.
Since he still seems to be scuffed up from his bout with "base" Goku, instead of it being like "Guess I WILL have to go Super Saiyan! Is this what you wanted Frieza D:<?!" an just winning, Frieza is actually like "I've been waiting for this moment, would it bring back memories if I told you...this wasn't even my final form *smirk*?" an it cuts to all the Z fighters faces like "WHAT?!". I mean the dude is basically the poster boy for having another form hidden away, it would be a cool nod to the first encounter with him.
