People don't dislike it because of nostalgia, they just think it looks terrible.
We had a new Star Wars movie with a female lead and nobody whined about it. Was it maybe because that movie wasn't terrible? And Star Wars is way way more beloved than Ghostbusters.
People are looking for reasons that aren't there. The main reason is the movie looks shitty to people. That is all.
Plus I think this is all positive for the movie. If the movie bombs they can blame it on misogyny. On the other hand people might go see it just to make some kind of statement..they are the crazy people who feel a majority of people have an issue with this over the genders of the character. So it's like a win win.

I'm telling you the reason a majority of people dislike it has nothing to do with misogyny. You could surely say the trailer doesn't do it justice or that we shouldn't judge movies on trailers. However, that actually doesn't change anything about the whole "a majority of the dislike isn't due to misogyny". You can still say you feel their reasons aren't good, but you should at least acknowledge a majority aren't just upset because the cast has boobies.
Also just think for a second how silly Ivan looks. Nostalgia is the entire reason the movie was made in the first place. If that wasn't a key factor they wouldn't of needed to use the "Ghostbusters" name and could of just written some other shitty movie about females fighting ghosts, but they wanted to tap into that market of people who loved Ghostbusters.
If they wanted it to be funny and all females they should of gotten someone like Tina Fey involved.

I personally have no interest in seeing this, but that is because I can't stand Melissa McCarthy. I don't find her funny at all. Just loud and obnoxious.

I remember I just saw this clip of that one sitcom she was on where it's two fat people..I guess just being fat together? But this one clip had her and some older lady(I'm guessing her mother) and she was eating junk food and the older lady was like "do you really need that" and Melissa was like "you wanna try to take it from me?!" as if she'd kill this b*tch if she tried. Then cue the laughtrack. It's like..haha it's funny because she is dying of obesity and her family cares about her.

Yeah, that show is called Mike and Molly, or something along those lines. I remember seeing bits and pieces of it, and just finding it extremely dumb. Like the laugh track triggers after some supposed punchline, and all I can think is, "that's not funny".
But yeah, if Melissa McCarthy is in this, chances are she is going to be screaming and acting loud most of the time, and probably end up awkwardly climbing through some window or vent or laundry chute or something, at some point. So no thanks.

Yeah I'm not a big fan of her but she was funny in that movie & also where she played a bumbling cop alongside Sandra Bullock.
Thing is, she's actually hillarious in the blooper & deleted scenes that don't make the cut. I guess she "fails" when she's acting out gags that someone else has written for her.
Yep, I just find her overall to be awful. I actually shudder at the thought of a movie with her as a secret agent.

That's great. But did you expect them to say it is shitty? They all have cameo's in it.
Who knows, it might turn out to be awesome. It might be one of those movies where the trailers just utterly did the film an injustice.

If they thought it was shitty why'd they film the cameos? Why'd they agree to go on a promotion tour? Why do they continue to give the movie good press? I'm sure it's not the money, Murray and Akroyd have more than enough of that...

Now you're grasping at straws, you know those two situations are not equivalent. Great actors do voice over roles in animated/live action because they're quick, good money and not much commitment. That's why animated movies always have an all star cast.
