...Ya know what? Team, as long as Mara has the chance to go Assassin mode on him. She almost had him on her own, till he pulled that poison dart out. But poison darts do jackall to Vader....
Seriously, adding Vader to the battle of Sacrifice as written would get him.

Mara's not that easy to get rid of, or Caedus would've actually done that in Sacrifice. For whatever reason, he didn't, and had to rely on a damn poison dart.
What I'm thinking, given an environment with cover, is that Vader draws fire (Caedus won't take dear old granddad quickly) while Mara does her assassin thing. Caedus probably dies due to a literal stab in the back while he's trying to deal with grandpa.
Though I admit the pair's going to lose if for some reason Mara can't go assassin. She really does need that to provide Vader enough support. The rage amp is inconsequential against a foe of Caedus's caliber. Doesn't give her anything close to enough to contend with him. That was (almost) all assassin mode.

His right knee exploded with blinding pain as Mara cannoned out horizontally, Force-assisted, from a side conduit and caught his leg on the joint with her boots, ripping the tendons. As he lost his footing in the narrow passage, screaming, he found himself wedged for a second and groping for support. He lashed out with his lightsaber, shaving powdery brick from the wall. Mara dropped to the muddy floor to dodge the lightsaber, then sprang up and sprinted away down the tunnel.
Injures him via hiding then executing a hit-and-run tactic, an advantage she won't have in this fight.
Mara found the perfect trap at the end of one of the culverts. She could hear Jacen's running footsteps and she had a good fifty meters on him.
From here, the vaulted ceiling became lower, and even Mara had to run at a crouch. It wasn't the place to swing a standard lightsaber. The tunnels were in poor condition, and the brick arches were starting to sag and collapse in places.
Finds an environment that puts her weapons at an advantage over his saber while setting a trap, an advantage she won't have in this fight.
If she'd timed it right, he was close to stepping on that rusty plate.
Clang. . .
The rumbling began. She brought down both sections of tunnel, before and behind, with a massive exertion in the Force that made her breathless. She didn't hear him call out. Even in the damp conditions, clouds of fine debris filled the air and made her choke.
...
An arm was all that protruded from the rubble. Through a fist-sized gap, she could see the wet, blinking glint of an eye and bloodstained face. A hand reached out to her, fingers splayed, bloody and shaking.
Drops a cave on him, leaving him bloody and injured, an advantage she won't have in this fight.
He deflected the energy bolt with one last surge of the Force and sent the rubble erupting off his crushed and bleeding body like a detonation. Bricks hammered the walls and rained fragments, knocking Mara flat like a bomb blast. She made an animal noise that was more anger than pain and flailed for a moment as she tried to get up.
He fumbled for his lightsaber and thumbed it into life again. Mara was already back on her feet, coming at him with the shoto and vibroblade, brick dust and black-red blood snaking down her forehead from a scalp cut. She leapt at him with the shoto held left-handed, fencing-style, seared the angle of his cheekbone, and caught him under the tip of chin with the vibroblade as he jerked back.
She shouldn't have been able to get near him. He had total mastery, and she was just athletic and fast. He pushed back at her in the Force, sending her crashing against a wall with a loud grunt, but she kept coming at him, one-two, one-two with the shoto and the blade, and he was being driven back, his strength ebbing. He needed space to fight.
They grappled, Force-pushed, Force-crushed: he threw her back again, trying to Force-jolt her spine and paralyze her for a moment, but somehow she deflected it and bricks flew out of the wall as if someone had punched them through from the other side. She almost Force-snatched the lightsaber from his hand, but even with his injuries he hung on to it. He wouldn't die. He couldn't, not now
Then she launched herself at him—unthinking, a wild woman, hair flying—and he Force-pushed to send her slamming against a pillar in midleap. But the battering he'd taken and the ferocity of her relentless attack had blinded him to danger from another quarter. As he lurched backward to avoid her, his legs went from under him and he stumbled into a gaping crack opened up by the subsidence. He fell badly: red-hot pain seared from ankle to knee. His lightsaber went flying.
Despite being injured and severely weakened from having a cave dropped on him and his knee being f***ed up from before the fight, he still manages to continuously throw her back and smash her into shit - his weakened state combined with her rage amp from how pissed she was lets her somehow keep getting up without much injury, another circumstantial advantage she won't have in this fight.
Without Mara being able to dictate where the fight takes place and being able to injure him before the confrontation even begins, she'd honestly get stomped. She's not going to be able to "assassin mode" him in a neutral ground setting, she's not going to get behind him to backstab him, he's going to trash her with TK, repeatedly again if necessary, until she doesn't get back up.
Caedus just needs room to operate and to not have any injuries going into the fight, something that seems to be a recurring theme in a lot of his Legacy fights. ( I really apologize for triple posting, the edit option appears to be glitched for me tonight )
He actually has never had an occurrence where he's been 100% in a duel with force users, lol. With Jaina he was being hit by a mind assault/illusions from Luke, with Mara she restricted his movements with the tunnels/injured him by snipping his tendons, with the the strike team he was injured from fighting Luke. Poor guy can never catch a break.
Even when he slaughtered all of the Vong soldiers in Traitor he was exhausted from working.

Mara lets Caedus tk her out of the fight, whilst Vader does his best to hold him off Mara hides her Force presence and delivers a severe wound, hit and running him whilst Vader makes it too hard for him to go hunting.

He really can't catch a break lol. The writing throughout Legacy was very poor and inconsistent.
My edit option is working again

Everything posted from Sacrifice shows tactical ingenuity. She sets herself up to win. One does not stand in front of a freight train and expect to win. One derails it.
However, I must point out all the tactical advantages she had, she set up all by herself. She had no help whatever.
I guess I'm just curious as to how it would work for her in a neutral ground setting when she usually doesn't fare so well in confrontations like that, i.e Lumiya.
Sure, if she executes hit and run tactics, drops a cave on him, lures him into an environment that gives her shoto/vibro dagger the edge, has a rage amp coupled with poor/inconsistent writing, she could ALMOST kill Caedus.
