Finally platinum'd this game recently. Love it, but one major gripe I unfortunately have to point out is that for whatever reason, you're unable to use defense/sub weapons you have equipped if you're grabbed by an enemy near a set of stairs or on the stairs; they'll just automatically bite you, and on hardcore this screwed me over a good few times on the stairwell room in the laboratory when I was getting grabbed by the zombie at the bottom as I was backing up to distance myself, but because I was near the stairs, automatic game over when I was grabbed. Not sure why the stairs of all things make enemies defense weapon proof, but that's kinda bad game design.

Seriously, that game was insanely ahead of its time, playing it today.

Gender: Male Location: In Luna's mane, chasing STAAARS!
Holt crap if some of you have the original sounds activated in your audio, change it back to the remake's before you get on Tofu Survivor. It's music is borderline DOOM and it's awesome!
This isn't meant to be the real reason, but it feels like RE2s answer to REmakes zombies/stairs dynamic. In REmake, the zombies couldn't grab you on the stairs so you could aways just abuse that by baiting them over and just running past (helps with speed runs). Now they're basically guaranteed a grab/bite on the stairs, which is a pretty funny mirror/phuck you.
I love hate those modes. Love them because they're neat arcade style shooters. Hate them, because I could not score with Leon in RE4, no matter what.
