Thor facing insurmountable odds and not giving up doesn’t make him the worst hero in the MCU. A lot of things are up to taste but objectively speaking, MCU Thor fits the definition of a proper hero very well.
Btw, Superman hasn’t beaten any villain solo since MoS, that includes Batman.
At least he killed Doomsday while sacrificing himself.
What does Thor do? Asking Jane Foster to do his work? Needing Loki to kill the killer of his mother? Needing Surtur to beat his sister? Needing dwarves to make a hammer?
Thor is a surfer dude trying to play a god. Superman in the movies is more of a god than MCU Thor will ever be.
Thor's own Creators have been trying to destroy him for years! Messing with his head, his family, his history, his powers, his strength, his hammer, his pride, his friends, even his identity.
They manipulate reality all around him, making every challenge impossible. And he still keeps going forward.
Afyer Thor trounces Supes, he would probably take the poor dork out, to help Clark lose his virginity.

You're doing a really terrible job of trolling me.
DCeU Superman has been such a disappointing example, while Thor has been such an exemplary example, all I have to do is point to the movies. And the Box Office returns.
P.S. Superman killed Doomsday with help. I thought that didn't account as of two posts ago?
Also, this idiot just said "Needing Dwarves to make a hammer."
I actually like Thor, a lot more than Hulk. It's just that he's super weak and arguably inferior to Supergirl and Wonder Woman or even She Hulk physically. Jason Aaron was the only one to portray him as an actual Herald tier in the Gorr arc, before he decided he hates Thor.
I wouldn't say Thor is weaker than Supergirl or Wonder Woman but he is no longer in the top echelons of strength based characters like Superman or Hulk and wouldn't be shown that way in team setting. Aaron has hammered that in the character now.
Thor is in the famous category of J'onn J'onnz and Wonder Man now where they are defeated by villains so that the actual powerhouse of the team can show how powerful they are.
So out of the whole Avengers team, Aaron has Thor lifting a mini underwater city and punting hellicarier debris from the bottom of the Atlantic ocean to the phukkin sun.
Not Tony with his always evolving armor, not Carol even the push for her being more powerful than ever, not even Jen with this strongest version ever, but poor ol' Odinson with confidence issues.
No one is saying he is stronger than Hulk or Supes, but he is still strong as phukk.
