I don't think we should defund the police, just disarm them. And even then only until they prove themselves responsible with firearms. Aa soon as they provide proof that they will stop shooting people, they can have the guns back.

Shooting in cases that aren't self defense, yes. No shooting people in the back, or shooting anyone who is unarmed, or even legally armed as in this Casey goodson case.
