It's pretty incredible that this is the 3rd highest grossing movie of 2017 so far, especially considering it beat Spiderman: Rebootastic.

It's only behind Wonder Woman (another surprise hit) and Beauty and the Beast (Good lord, I tried to watch that and couldn't bear it because it's a terrible musical.)

It was a better film than Spider-Man homecoming so it should do better in my opinion. In fact I'm surprised that it didn't gross more. I really loved GOTG2, despite a few nitpicks.

That�s just domestic. Worldwide Beauty and the Beast and Furious 8 are the 2 biggest films of the year. And Spider-Man is the biggest grossing superhero film his year. Though Ragnarok still has a chance to surpass it.
