I don't think anyone really thought the execution of a traitor crossing a line, as she did. It's when she started killing defeated foes and non combatants, for no real reason, that the line was crossed.

You're mistaking pragmatic ruthlessness or revenge against specific people for legit mental illness and having a twisted worldview. Why was Tywin considered a "Traitor" when He quit on on Dany after she burned Kings Landing exactly? Other then her being a Spontaneous Mad Dictator all of a sudden?
