Great since Cheetah isn't an alternate skin for Catwoman like we thought, chances are that Captain Cold and Mr. Freeze will have their own slots as well. Adding the possibility of a Red Hood reveal soon, this game is looking less and less appealing having all these Batman characters. You know Selina's only in this to reference the Gotham City Sirens in that trailer to promote the movie in the works. Thanks, WB.

Joker in Injustice 2 really makes no sense at all. One is dead, the other was taken back to his universe. Unless the hints at Ras Al Ghul being in the game are true (then great, another addition...) and Joker was tossed in the Lazarus Pit for god knows what dumb reason, the rumor is false and that leak is only slightly wrong.

I won't lie, today has given me a bit of 2nd thoughts about getting the game (at least on day one); still too early to say for sure and glad there's months left to think it over with more reveals coming to boot. I guess one can at least hope the statements contradicting the leak turn out to be true. On the other hand, if leaked roster's legit, then they cut a lot of good characters from the first game to pander to loud fans of some of these B and C list characters on twitter and such. Sad.
This roster seems to have at least more variety than the first game overall, though I can still probably say Inj 1 also had more fan favorites that I liked.
Ares, Deathstroke, Doomsday, Grundy, Hawkgirl, Killer Frost, Lex, Nightwing, Raven, Shazam, Sinestro... Everyone from the base roster of previous game that are presumed cut, and I'll just assume none of the DLC characters will return either (which includes Martian Manhunter unfortunately). Some of them being gone is understandable, but that's a bit much.

With the rumors and high possibility of Sub-Zero being a guest, I doubt NRS is gonna wanna have separate slots for three ice themed characters.
The only ones I think should have returned are Lex, Deathstroke and Martian Manhunter. You'd think they would have learned after the backlash they received for leaving MMH out of the base roster.
I just can't believe they chose to bring back Bane. That's the one returning character I really didn't think was a necessity.

Some not being present like Lex I can understand since he died in the last game's story along with Shazam, but I know what ya mean. I like Bane but to each their own. The Teen Titans' treatment I might argue is the biggest crime if this is all true, which includes the omission of the highly requested Starfire; at least there's dlc for that, hopefully.
So saw some of I guess a video leak earlier of Scarecrow, and his base design looks underwhelming... Makes me glad there's the armor system so I won't always have to see the default designs of some of these characters. That also goes for Catwoman (ignoring my despising of her return), whose Injustice appearance is lazy crap compared to the Arkham series version. Speaking of, hopefully Arkham Knight Scarecrow can be attained.
So did Green Arrow and Joker. But they're on the leaked list.
Plus there are many solutions to handling dead characters. Such as having flashback chapters in the story featuring them. That way they can be playable without having them be resurrected in the story. They kinda did this in MKX hence why despite remaining as revenants, Liu Kang, Kung Lao and Kitana still had their alive human forms playable in the other modes.
Still think that was a misleading copout with MKX, but yeah, they could do something like that. Forgot about Green Arrow dying, but can agree that if Joker returns somehow, so should Lex.

Scarecrow might possibly be an exclusive to the mobile version of Injustice 2 going by his hook weapon being anti-tag team and can prevent players from swapping out heroes.
But should he be on the console version, people will have a field day because his fear gas can disable abilities upon contact so he's pretty much like Sombra from Overwatch if she had her gun replaced with Roadhog's hook. I actually want him in the game now. He sounds like the perfect anti-spammer. Online, all those guys that would stay at the other end of the stage and spam Aquaman's trident, Green Lantern's missiles, anyone with a gun, etc. will experience true fear alright.
