"To all visitors from Transylvania looking for the head of Voivode Dracula: Yes, we have it. Yes, he's dead. No, you cannot see it. No, he will not return and invade you again. It has been over thirty years, please stop pestering us."
I'm glad some others are still able to feel more invested in this game than me at the moment for what it's worth, but I'm just kinda over Inj 2 right now. How long I'll wait to get it is debatable and depends on what else and what other games come up along the way, but it's buy at some point.
Kinda nice to see Hal being changed. Found him kinda cumbersome in the first one.
I haven't kept up much with the pre-release info, but is the bat-wank that bad? Who isn't returning?

List of whose not returning (unless the future or DLC proves otherwise): Ares, Deathstroke, Doomsday, Grundy, Hawkgirl, Killer Frost, Lex, Nightwing, Raven, Shazam, Sinestro, and the DLC characters of the first game.
Some of them being gone is understandable, but that's still too much for me. Disappointment with no Deathstroke aside, I don't want to possibly have a game with Starfire but no Raven. =(
And yes, the Bat-wank is that bad still, arguably worse than the first game's roster. I wouldn't of minded if it was just like Scarecrow, Bane, Poison Ivy, and Harley... But Joker, Deadshot, Catwoman, Damien (Robin), and Jason (Red Hood)? Ugh.
Gender: Male Location: In Luna's mane, chasing STAAARS!
Between Joker and Red Hood, I would've put the latter in the base game instead if I had to pick my poison. Jason's return to seek vengeance against Damian for killing him (albeit accidentally) would've been a much better subplot in the main story than Joker being a troll.

The Joker is the most iconic super villain in comics. This is a fighting game; plot be damned, he deserves to be in the game. Far more so than almost any of the other characters.
Not denying the iconicness and stuff which I've addressed before, but the Joker is overrated. As long as he's not hijacking the whole plot like the hack he is, I don't really care what his presence in the story is. Would've helped some if he was voiced by Hamill here, but that is not the case apparently.

He could still be in the game, sure, but I would've rather him be DLC. For a game like this, everyone in the base roster is an addition to the story mode and Joker feels tacked on. You say plot be damned and DLC is in non-canon territory where anyone can come back from the dead so why not?
The Power Girl skin doesn't look too much like Power Girl, but she's still got the signature clevage and stuff, so whatever. Even as a PG fan, waiting for a complete edition still seems preferable to paying more for that.
The Jay Garrick skin for Flash is a nice touch, but Mr Freeze looks terrible. No helmet or sleeves even? Da fuq? Reverse Flash and John Stewart still look sweet, Power Girl's not as sexualized as per the sjw era I suppose, and then there's Vixen as a skin for Cheetah which is passable I guess.
Still... Kinda expected more, I mean when you're paying how much extra for these alt characters?
The only one I'm disappointed is Vixen. Being simply just a premier skin is a huge waste of her potential. Her abilities warrant her having her own spot and there are plenty of other animal abilities she can mimic aside from wildcats.
Yeah. Part of me thinks it should've been the other way around with Cheetah being a skin of Vixen, but with Cheetah we still at least have a WW villain, even though I don't think Ares should've been traded out for her.
Well I checked like 2 hours of the walkthrough the main story is cool but there are many retarded unnecessary fights its like they pulled the idea out of their asses.
There are situations where the script doesnt make much sense and they go like lets make this dude appear for random reasons out of nowhere and make them fight.
Some really dumb parts [SPOILER - highlight to read]: Adam and Diana are raising Kara preparing her to free Clark and they are scared of Bruce as shit. Diana goes like"zomg Supergirl why are you flyin around Batman could notice you, you are not prepared yet. Canary whoopin on Dr. Fate for no reason, Harley handlin Swamp Thing. Deadhot being able to see Barry run and snipe him from a mile while doing so.
It is Injustice but still it kinda bothers how dumb these confrontations are at times...
Glad I didn't have much expectations for the story then, but after how MKX's offended me in parts, figured this couldn't be much worse. Netherrealm could still use better writers regardless though. I know there's only so many different ways you can do storytelling for a fighter (which I welcome over the excuse that "it's a fighting game, it doesn't need a story"), but still.
TBH the only part I liked about the story is that Adam has few cool moments in it.
Too many random encounters, battles that make nosense also in the begining [SPOILER - highlight to read]: Brainiac hired Grodd but why the heck? I mean he can do all that shit by himself doesnt make too much sense to ally him and Scarecrow to phuck around with fear gas when you wanna blow up the planet. Dr. Fate making random appearances just to mumbo some nonsense and get his ass kicked each time same goes for Swamp Thing. It even goes as far as stealin the scene from MOS, when Clark closes the wound of Lois via heatvision.

How would you say the story is in relation to that of the first Inj? Better or worse? I know the first one had plenty Batwank too, but also had some cool moments in between, and in the end the good Superman kinda stole the show from Batman. Guessing the conclusion to this one doesn't have that kind of payoff though obviously, nor do the likes of Swamp Thing or Fate even have a story chapter if they only have about a minute of screen time like Erron Black in MKX...
