Nah, he treated Hopper like the whiny little idiotic manbaby he is. Being old does not in of itself warrant respect. Hopper probably was just angry he wasn't the one making out with El.

Of course if Hopper *is* [SPOILER - highlight to read]: dead then the kids killed him. Specifically Dustin and his girlfriends need to do a song routine lol. I like the scene, but that extra few minutes could have made a difference.

Finished watching this yesterday. Was alright IMO. The story itself was entertaining enough, but a lot of the characters have become extremely irritating. And I felt that they jumped the shark a bit in some ways. It's hard to properly put into words, but it has to do with realism. And yes, I know how weird that sounds, considering the show's subject matter. But, for example, in s1, action sequences, fist fights and things felt more grounded and believable. Now, you have [SPOILER - highlight to read]: Terminator Russian guy performing feats that are borderline superhuman, cuz reasons. And those things just felt a bit out of place to me, given the show's previous style and tone.

-Alexi was probably best new character this season. He wanted the American experience , so he eats junk food and gets shot. Pretty accurate.
-Terminator homage guy was cool in a cheesy way.

I saw a theory saying that [SPOILER - highlight to read]: the american prisoner the russians have is Barb lol.
Don't get me wrong I didn't dislike the character, but I never understood why people loved the character so much.

It's a weird reaction to her frankly being handled really poorly in the first season, hence #JusticeforBarb.
I was never particularly a fan but considering how she was Nancy's best friend her ridiculously horrific death and how lackadaisically it was handled in the show was pretty shitty.
Well for me [SPOILER - highlight to read]: the person the Russians have imprisoned is either the evil doctor from the 1st season or Hopper.
