The only part of Legends and Canon that cross is the original six films, the original six novel adaptations, and The Clone Wars TV show.

Revan, Jacen Solo, Galen Marek, Darth Krayt, etc. is all Legends.

I see no reason Vader wasn't also holding back against Tano prior to his "then you will die."

In the new canon comic, I saw a scan that ESB Luke resists Vader's TK.

He might not be trying to kill Luke with TK, but he's still trying to subdue him. thumb up
