he's able to mess with kids' minds easily, while adults seem numbed to his telepathy...iirc

It could feed on adults just as easily as children, but it preferred children because their fears were easier to embody into a single shape, making hunting easier.

It in the novel also killed quite a few adults. One that I know occurred in the first miniseries is when It killed the security guard holding Henry Bowers in the asylum.
The book is so phucking extense that I don't really think a movie can do it justice. This looks very good and all but a lot of content is gonna get lost in the way most likely.
