Stretch or not to stretch?
When playing anything "retro"? PS2 games, arcade or genesis compilations, ect?
For me, it really depends on how visable it is. On Midway's arcde treasure or Pacman Collection, I'll dive into my tv settings and set it to "Wide fit" or something.
But on the Sonic's Ultimate Genesis collection, I'll rarely set the game to 16:9, and instead manually set it to within 4:3 (The canned 4:3 leaves it in a window, so I'll try and expand it to the top screen, and widen it to about how my tv ends at 4:3 content)

Never let anyone else define you. Don't be a jerk just to be a jerk, but if you are expressing your true inner feelings and beliefs, or at least trying to express that inner child, and everyone gets pissed off about it, never NEVER apologize for it. Let them think what they want, let them define you in their narrow little minds while they suppress every last piece of them just to keep a friend that never liked them for themselves in the first place.
