I knew the Brain character wouldnt be in it so i'm ok with that.
The rest of the trailer looked like what i want in an action movie, though. There's a plot twist in there i wont ruin for anyone that dislikes spoilers.
I was expecting this to be utter garbage, but that trailer actually looked quite entertaining. The thing that always draws me back to these films is the fact that the cast seems to have a very strong chemistry onscreen.

Well, it looks like this movie is going to have some pretty decent VFX and camera work, but I can't see a F&F movie winning any Oscars for things like script or acting, even with people like Charlize Theron or Kurt Russel in it.

Gender: Male Location: On a rock, floating through space..
I'm a pretty big fan of the FF franchise, for the most part - I quite like my mindless entertainment. But freaking hell, even I think they are starting to jump the shark a bit with this one. Don't get me wrong, I'm still gonna watch it - but whereas with the previous one I was looking forward to it and thought they did a great job, especially with the goodbye to Paul Walker, with this one I'm starting to get that WTF are they thinking feeling.
Funny you say that, because the first movie had a lot more Rock elements in it. It wasn't nothing but thuggin' hip-hop bullshit. So that kind of gets on my nerves.
This wasn't the direction I was expecting the series to go, I have to admit. But I felt like the trailer showed way too much. I really have practically no desire to see this at the theater now. It can wait.
I love cars and I love me some Charlize Theron, but these films get more and more awful and ridiculous, trailer didn't do anything for me, something I'll watch at home on a lazy Sunday morning.
I'm the only black person i know who wont call you racist for your wording there; i am not a rap fan either, but in small doses, like in movies/trailers set over some kick ass action i dont mind it.
I liked the last, it was enjoyable, but it could have ended a while ago. 7 was worth the watch at least, and if this is as well, then hey, could be worse. Seems like it will be hard to top the ending of 7 though, cause the send off for Paul Walker was a great way to close out the film and series.
Everytime I see Vin Diesel in these films I always think no amount of acting can make me believe that he knows anything about cars and driving them...same goes for Michelle as well actually
For a series that tries to pride itself on having a diverse cast it doesn't provide a very eclectic musical collection anymore.
Oh, and the title seems a bit wordy. Why not Furious Fate (aka Furious 8)? It also seems to imply that this is the final film, but somehow I doubt that knowing what a huge cash cow it is.
