^ I wouldnt. They way he said it wasnt convincing at all, and hes been preaching this for like 5years now. Its a case of will believe it when it happens at this point.
Agree to disagree. It seems New Line is creating their own little universe. Plus, the script has already been finished, with WB's approval. He may have not seemed convincing, but maybe that's due to his uncertainty on when it'll officially be shot. Rock is the biggest star out there. Would be highly stupid for them not to make it.
Basically, they won't have Black Adam star in a SHAZAM movie until he gets his own solo film. Seeing as Rock is one of the producers, he should star as BA.
Gladiator would be my 1st pick with his Arrogance and "as powerful as his confidence" thing and all that. Namor is similar to Black Adam attitude wise , sort of.
This is a logical fallacy known as the argumentum ad populum. You can't "peer pressure" yourself into being correct. I've provided the proper commentary and citations for why your point is wrong. You've provided none.
Not a single legitimate source agrees with this. You're the only person posting this.
You are clearly not reading my posts or the links provided. Are you trolling? If you're not trolling, then why would you post something this silly?
No, that's an absurdly high number for a super hero film. And it would be the worst budgeted movie of all time if it needed that much money put into marketing relative to it's production budget.
Find me a single movie that put $240 million in marketing.
Great, so its break even point is $200 million. Glad we agree.
I actually know something about the subject, am trying to educate you, and in return you just have your fingers in your ears saying LA LA LA Breaking even point is $200mill! Fact!
Whose fact? Show me who said hat specifically Shazams breaking even point was $200mill.
You want me to post articles (as if articles in and of themselves are proof), fine:
Heres an article explaining how complicated it is, the difference between Domestic sales and International sales (like I tried explaining already but you completely ignored):
Most interesting part of the article is that the same damn studio made a loss on HARRY POTTER and The Order of the Phoenix! Which grossed $960mill on a $150mill budget:
They reckon it was just starting to break even at that point where it was around $282million. Strange they didnt just use your magic formula of doubling the production cost.
So if we take this article SPECIFICALLY talking about the film in question (since you know, articles are proof whilst im just making things up), Even Then my estimate is WAYYY closer than yours.
So im ready for an apology anytime now.
For the record, anyone giving an exact worldwide gross figure to break even is just talking crap, given it depends on how much money it made in each particular market. But at least Cinemablend somewhat addressed that, (giving its domestic and international gross at the time).
