According to the report, this Black Cat and Silver Sable film and Sony’s “Venom” movie are not spinning out of “Spider-Man: Homecoming,” which releases in July; instead, these projects will draw “from the overall franchise and [are] based on Marvel’s Spider-Man universe.”

The Sony Spiderman Universe is taking shape, Thoughts?

Got really excited for a second there when I read The Cat. As for Black Cat and Silver Sable... meh. I'll still watch it, though - when I can watch it at home.

So it's this and Venom won't be part of the MCU?

Not interested then.

These spin off franchises need Spider-Man (even if it's a small role) IMO. And I don't think they'll want to confuse audiences with 2 different Spider-Men simultaneously.
