If we're taking all of Dragon Ball into account, there's no reason current Base Goku would've ever "gotten into that", much less found himself in a position where he needed to "get out." Nonetheless, canon is canon. Nothing to be done about that.
The crux of the matter is that Goku was being pushed, indicated he was struggling and immediately used SSJ to get himself out of a losing situation. Resorting to instant transmission would've merely gotten him back into the same situation .

Not close to Frieza level. He just started training. Frieza tanked a planet exploding on him and almost sliced Namek in half with his index finger. Can you picture Krillin doing any of this let alone lift a mountain with his mind. He did all of this at his weakest state.
