I talked about this before and how this person might have had a job at a college, that information was correct:

Woman who stole conservative speaker’s notes from podium is a college administrator

"The woman is associate director of career services and advising at Quinebaug Valley Community College in Danielson, Connecticut, WVIT-TV reported.
Attorney Jon Schoenhorn told WVIT the woman in question is his client, Catherine Gregory, and that she was against the speaker’s “hateful, racist statements.” The speaker — Lucian Wintrich, White House correspondent for The Gateway Pundit — was on campus to give a talk titled, “It’s OK to Be White.”
The school told the station she has received death threats and that officials added extra security at the community college in response."

I will say the death threats are 100% wrong. There is no place for it.

Anyways, so yeah she is the associate director of career services and advising. In other words, this kind of person is advising young people on major life decisions.

http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-m...n-costs-113-bi/

And below is a basic counter argument from a pro-immigrant think tank

The report relies upon flawed and empirically baseless assumptions to inflate its estimate of the costs which unauthorized immigrants impose on federal, state, and local governments. Much of what FAIR counts as the cost of unauthorized immigration is actually the cost of education and healthcare for U.S.-citizen children. In fact, over half of FAIR’s cost estimate consists of educational and healthcare expenditures for the children of unauthorized immigrants, of whom nearly three-quarters are native-born U.S. citizens. These native-born children are counted as a “cost” of illegal immigration if they are under 18, but as U.S. citizens if they are working, taxpaying adults. In its rush to place a price tag on unauthorized immigrants, FAIR is unable to see that investing in children today pays off economically tomorrow. FAIR also neglects to mention the enormous fiscal and economic costs that would be incurred by attempting to remove unauthorized immigrants from the United States. As the negative impact of anti-immigrant legislation on the fiscal bottom-line becomes more apparent, many taxpayers may begin to see that the “costs” cited by FAIR do not tell the whole story

Man, this is such a contrived bullshit argument (I know this is not yours).

It's trying so so very hard to make the numbers look bad and uses clearly biased language such as "rushed out the door" to make their point. But it relies on a very flimsy and unproven notion of "investing in the future that pays off decades from now."

Great, investing in illegal immigrants will have a potential, unproven, RoI, by their words, in a couple of decades.

Even the most extreme planning in business-ops won't extend, in definitive budgets, past 5 years (known as a long-term strategy). Expecting states to bite the bullet for about 2 decades to see an RoI is just asinine and stupid as f*ck.

However, I'm only tearing apart their argument against FAIR. I still think FAIR is a biased organization. I did use FAIR's numbers to make a point about Trump's wall being stupid, here, in this thread:

But what about him being a two-faced manipluative racist? Well, he's that, too.

He said to the Mexicans when he visited, "In the United States, first-, second- and third-generation Mexicans are just beyond reproach — spectacular, spectacular, hard-working people. I have such great respect for them and their strong values of family, faith and community..."

Contrast this with his other statements about his ridiculously stupid idea of building a wall:

“We will build a great wall along the southern border!"... “And Mexico will pay for the wall! One-hundred percent. They don’t know it yet, but they’re going to pay for the wall.”

Now let's talk about this stupid-ass wall.

1. Over 2100 miles long and literally impossible to build without overwhelmingly high landscaping (leveling shit) costs needed to build in mountainous areas (among other tops of topography). Someone should tell Trump about how ROI works. He should know but apparently he forgot. How much money is saved by keeping them out? How much does it cost to build this fence? Yeah...you're looking at ridiculously shitty reverse ROI...or an LOI.

It costs us $113 billion, annually, on illegal immigration, by the way, according to this study:

http://www.fairus.org/publications/...tates-taxpayers

And much of this could be recouped if we had a far better tax system.

2. We'd have to build the fence quite far into the US, at times, giving tons of land to the Mexicans...so we wouldn't really be keeping them out, we'd be letting them take over our lend by building a fence far into our property. Here you go, Mexicans, have some land back that we took from you during the Mexican-American War! Weee!

3. Conservation and environmental issues. I shouldn't have to explain how this could interfere with plant and animal life...it should be obvious. You don't need to be a conservationist or biologist to know how stupidly shitty this idea is from just a conservation perspective.

4. Shittying up diplomatic relations with Mexico by trying to force directly or indirectly, Mexico to pay for the fence.

5. And this should put the final nail in the coffin about the wall: it literally does not keep anyone out. It doesn't keep the drugs out. It doesn't keep the people out. They can easily cross. It just makes it slightly less convenient to cross. And if they fail? They can just try again and then succeed. On no! What are we going to do.

Since we have plenty of anti-Hillary threads, we need far more anti-Trump threads. Both candidates suck major amounts of stinky ass.

At this point I'm just going to ignore anything Firefly says about stats, he seems to get more wrong than he does right.

Anyways, thank god for the gun smile

Crooks attack pizza delivery man, fire shots at him. But victim also has a gun — and a deadly aim.

"A 41-year-old pizza delivery driver from Imo’s told St. Louis police he was making food delivery when two men tried to rob him Thursday night, KTVI-TV reported.

One of the suspects hit the driver in the head with a gun, the station said. When the victim ran back to his vehicle, KTVI said the same suspect began shooting at him, but the driver had his own gun and returned fire.
Special: Computer whiz exposes $1.8 million crypto script

One of the suspects — 17-year-old Lavon Courtney Jr. — was fatally shot, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported, adding that the second suspect apparently fled on foot.

The victim — who sustained a cut on his head and wasn’t hit by any bullets — returned to work where he called police, KTVI said."

Players they gonna play, and thuggies they gonna thug.

Berkeley College GOP President SUES Psycho "Teacher" Yvette Felarca for $100,000!!

I doubt they will win, but I hope they do. This woman is just an Antifa kunt and the saddest part? She's a middle school teacher.

Another funny video, this is from Campus reform:

Student lashes out after being filmed vandalizing posters

IMO sometimes someone just needs to get the shit slapped out of them. This is one of those times.

The picture was originally tweeted out, here is one of the responses:

"Maybe a sign, with baby foot imprints signifying the 60 million babies being murdered by the abortion industry since RVW would have a bigger impact. Especially next to baby Jesus in the manger scene."

What Does A Public Relations Agency Do?

Robert Wynne , CONTRIBUTOR

We don’t buy ads.

We don’t write stories for reporters

We don’t put up billboards.

We don’t come up with catchy phrases to make people buy more products they probably don’t need.

So what do public relations agencies do?

PR agencies, as opposed to advertising agencies, promote companies or individuals via editorial coverage. This is known as "earned" or "free" media -- stories appearing on websites, newspapers, magazines and TV programs -- as compared to "paid media" or advertisements.

PR agencies and advertising agencies share the same goals: promoting clients and making them seem as successful, honest, important, exciting or relevant as possible. But the paths to creating awareness are vastly different. Most people understand advertising is paid for by the client and should be viewed with skepticism. Articles or TV appearances in respected publications have the advantage of third-party validation and are generally viewed more favorably.

The Public Relations Society of America defines the management of public relations as:

"Anticipating, analyzing and interpreting public opinion, attitudes and issues that might impact, for good or ill, the operations and plans of the organization.
Counseling management at all levels in the organization with regard to policy decisions, courses of action and communication, taking into account their public ramifications and the organization’s social or citizenship responsibilities.
Researching, conducting and evaluating, on a continuing basis, programs of action and communication to achieve the informed public understanding necessary to the success of an organization’s aims. These may include marketing; financial; fund raising; employee, community or government relations; and other programs.
Planning and implementing the organization’s efforts to influence or change public policy. Setting objectives, planning, budgeting, recruiting and training staff, developing facilities — in short, managing the resources needed to perform all of the above."
That's a good overview of the general functions of a public relations agency. The tactics include some or all of the following:

Write and distribute press releases
Speech writing
Write pitches (less formal than press releases) about a firm and send them directly to journalists
Create and execute special events designed for public outreach and media relations
Conduct market research on the firm or the firm's messaging
Expansion of business contacts via personal networking or attendance and sponsoring at events
Copy writing and blogging for the web (internal or external sites)
Crisis public relations strategies
Social media promotions and responses to negative opinions online
Firms and individuals should hire a public relations agency when they want to protect, enhance or build their reputations through the media. A good agency or PR practitioner can analyze the organization, find the positive messages and translate those messages into positive media stories. When the news is bad, an agency can formulate the best response and mitigate the damage.

I love PR (public relations)
I love PR (public relations) (Photo credit: Jerry Silfwer)
“A good agency is a strategic partner who helps clients successfully talk to and with their audiences,” says Bob Gold of Bob Gold & Associates of Redondo Beach, CA . “An agency is a good listener to the marketplace and knows what conversation starters will work, but also what just might catch fire. How well can your agency push back on ideas without offending? And are they an innovative partner, or a bunch of “yes men and women?”

Gold advises clients to look for the best cultural fit. “Can your agency find and “ get” your voice? And do they lead the conversation, like a good dinner partner or are they too busy gathering clips?”

Effective publicists have great relationships with many different journalists in many different industries. Many PR pros are former journalists, so they know the best ways to pitch a story and to reach editors and reporters. Since they are not employees of the firm that hires them, they can give an honest, outsider view of the firm and the potential for what story ideas will work.

The relationship between client and agency should not be passive. Clients should inform the agency what messages they would like to promote and make suggestions on where they would like to appear. Very few stories make the front page of the New York Times, but with a media atmosphere that includes blogs, websites, TV shows, magazines and other media that evolves every day, a good PR agency will help clients increase their visibility via increased recognition on as many respected editorial platforms as possible. Long term, public relations can be an investment in the brand and the visibility of a firm or individual that results in increased recognition and reputation.

tl:dr version: They're propagandist's.

That four page article in the morning paper about the benefit of medical weed pills: All propaganda. A pr guy probably sent a press release/pitched an idea,,the lazy reporter on a deadline took the bait, and wallah: free advertising that gives a sense of legitimacy to hemp pills.

Which is bs, imo. You'd expect journalists to be defined by their skepticism, integrity, and sense of responsibiliy to the general public. They're supposed to, in theory, stand as a bullwark against powers that try and manipulatr the people for selfish/underhanded reasons.

Or so the story goes. The truth is that they're complicit in public manipulation. I mean, there's four pr reps for every single one reporter, which says a lot right there about where priorities stand in the news room..

To virtue signal. "Look how much we care about gun violence!".

The same reason that one politician, Jeff Flake? The same reason he donated money to the democrat running for senate in Alabama(Roy Moore's opponent) and decided to take a picture of the check he was giving and tweet it lol, as opposed to just quietly donating. These folk crave attention like a drowning man craves oxygen.

This is still pure entertainment though, as the left dips further and further into insanity...they need to come up with increasingly clever ways to justify these things. That's just awesome.

Does he realize how bad an idea that was, as checks have your account and routing numbers on it?

Wrong again, sport. Flake did that to express that people need to put Country before Party. He's concerned what will become of the Republican Party if it becomes synonymous with people like Trump and Moore. He's concerned, so he's making a statement directly to that. He's said this before; it's something he believes in. He's also correct, Trump and Moore will come and go, but the damage could be lasting.

But to Trumpers like you he's a "cuck" now cos he doesn't like Trump.

I like how you think saying "wrong again" means anything. Your opinion has been noted. I, on the other hand, think he was just virtue signaling.

I kind of agree with Surtur about Flake, I think he's totally full of shit and is just engaging in political theater with all this. He pays lip service to being against Trump and going against the GOP but then just votes down the party line whenever his vote is needed. If he really wanted to teach the GOP and Trump a lesson he'd go further and actually vote against their agenda. Until he does that he's just a shill.
