I agree. I may consider creating an all purpose news thread like that for smaller stories, but I think people would have trouble discerning what kind of story "deserves" its own thread and which don't.

I will never get why those on the left are so opposed to labeling radical Islamic terrorism as radical Islamic terrorism. There is no legit reason not to use the proper label.
Anyways, I mentioned it before, but I am sure people have heard of this recent thing at Google where the guy circulated a memo and was then fired.
Some women were so triggered they stayed home from work and thus proved some of the points of the memo lol:

What could demonstrate these arguments more clearly than women staying home (focusing on life over work and accepting a cut in status) in solidarity with other women (more cooperative) and feeling "uncomfortable" going back to work (more prone to anxiety)?"
