It almost makes schools out to be predatory in their approach to getting students.
Most of the increase in cost of education through the years is increase in admin staff and pay. Sounds like they need to trim the fat and lower costs and apparently stop hiding all their money.
You'd have a point if we didn't have this explosive inflation cost problem. Again, 1965, you could pay for all your tuition, room, and board with a minimum wage job.
You cannot do that today. So those that could pay off their college debts many years ago do not have the same debt burden that young people face today. They are not even close.
People who have paid off their student loans when they attended college even 20 years ago faced a geometrically smaller debt compared to today. That's how bad the inflation is. Medical care costs and college education costs are absurdly inflating. Go back further in time, the geometric formula still works: just 10 years prior, people 30 years ago faced far less college education costs than our parents from 20 years ago.

I like Silent Master's idea. I also like one that someone else (was is Snowdragon?) had: make all state schools tuition free. Both Silent Master's and Snowdragon's ideas combined actually address both sides of the problem.

If we ended only 2 of our 4 perpetual wars, we could pay for all of everyone's college education in the United States and still have tens of billions of dollars left over.

The only real way to fix this sort of problem is if universities have skin in the game. Now how we make that happen, I don't know but to wipe out student debt without reform to our university system is just giving them a pass.
We as a society need to stop holding certain institiuations as though they are above scrutiny such as religious organizations and universities, hold them accountable to the public dole just like everyone else. Get rid of their exempt status and make them tax up.

I laughed, too. That was funny. Making fun of Trumptards is funny. I laughed. Why are so many snowflakes getting butthurt about this? Their "guy" is an extremely rude and insulting personality so why did their feelings get hurt with someone being rude?
Oh yeah there is hypocrisy everywhere here. Trump mocks people, but it was also kinda dumb for CNN to energize his base. There is also hypocrisy in someone who mocks the intelligence of others and yet thinks black holes swallow planes. Also a woman on his show says a small black hole would suck in the entire universe...to no push back. Just for fun do you think Lemon would push back if a conservative on his show said climate change isn't real? Then there is the hypocrisy of one of the mockers crying about people clapping back at him and labeling others a bully.
Oh and I have no issue with the clip, but of course we both know the reactions would be different if fox news was mocking the accents of some black people, correct? And yet it's hypocrisy to think it's okay to mock one group(hicks) but not the other.
