I din't say they were the same, I said similar, but their preference for using force is the same. I mean if you truly want to engage in a pissing match, then yes, the neo nazis have killed people and Antifa has only heavily injured people to this point. You have to believe that they will start killing people if left unchecked though. Should we wait for that before taking action?
Again, their motivations are different, but at this point, both sides are quick to turn violence making them very similar. They both also refuse to accept any viewpoint outside of their own, and meeting these alternate viewpoints with violence. Also very similar.
Wait for what? When these mask wearers throw rocks and whatnot, they're criminals and when caught, they're charged with crimes. So not sure what you thinking some people are waiting for when no one is excusing their behavior (aside from themselves). That's just a silly strawman being used in here.
I disagree. From what I can tell, it is not "both sides are quick to turn violent", but it is the left that are more violent and instigating violence much more often.
When you can go to the social media profiles and see people organizing and coordinating "counter-protests" with comments that are definitely about showing up to be violent, no one should doubt at all why many of the "counter-protesters" are showing up and then violence happens.
I will say this: there are definitely legit liberals showing up to these, too: when the idiots start attacking, some of the other liberals scream "no violence!" or "nonviolence!" Which is great. I like those people. I want their messages to be heard and their ideas to rise to the top out of all this bullshit.
No, I tend to not give attention to a very tiny minority that the extreme majority, from the right, very vocally oppose and are disgusted by.
It's definitely a strawman and people like them love the attention.
"ZOMG! Everyone from the right is represented by Chris Cantwell! See!!! They are the worst! Take to the streets, pillage, destroy, and be violent! BEST RESPONSE EVER!"
Yeah but they just attack true Nazis. They rather call anyone on the right who disagrees with them Nazis and use the lable as justification for all their attacks. That's not to say that they didn't/haven't attacked actual Nazis too, but as far as they're concerned pretty much everyone on the right is a Nazi and deserves to be attacked.
Right, no pun intended. This is the crux of the problem. If you voted for Trump, and you say you did, and any of those shitheads are around, prepare to receive a gang-style beat down.
Libtard logic: "Trump is sexist and racist and abusive towards women. Therefore, anyone who voted for trump is sexist and racist and abusive towards women. I know! Let's be abusive to people who voted for Trump! Perfect reaction! It makes absolute sense!"
Taking action is the wrong word. My fault. I meant before we speak about them the way we speak about the neo nazis.
Are you not downplaying their behavior by setting up your own moral equivalency albeit trying to call out other people for the same tactic? you did earlier with the bricks/car comparison.
That seems like a very broad paint stroke. I mean, is a Black man fighting against White Supremacist who believe he's a subhuman also part of this "Antifa" who condemns everyone on the Right?
i'm starting to think that anyone who stands their ground against nazis and defends themselves is "antifa"

Personally I don't push the whole "just stay home" thing. What I say is "Use words, not violence". If Antifa limited themselves to using words no one could call them terrorists even if their personal views are stupid. And if they actually used logic rathe than just shout over everyone who disagrees and call them names then all the better...
I really wish people would just GO to these "counter-protests." The Media is not really covering what is going on. It is being "white-washed", again, no pun intended. I think many would change their mind. And would stop drinking the Koolaid.
People...need to get out of these boxes. These protests have people from all over the place. But many of the "counter protesters" are not there to be honest and morally upright people. The good messages are being drowned out from liberals.
Which is great and in the scheme of things I agree, shout it out, just don't get violent. But again, why is it always the "Antifa" are the violent attackers when this country literally has a history of violence from White Supremacist?
Well, historically, The Neo Nazis have been quick to hurt people from my understanding and I guy did run a bunch of people over with a car. My point is both of these extremists are this country and should be looked at with fairly equal disdain. Instead, all I see is "no that side sucks more" and it is truly disheartening.
