Look, it's quite simple to see what Filoni is saying here. Maul is in Vader's realm as far as his threat level, purely because of his training from Sidious, which sets him apart from the likes of Ventress and Savage.
Right, so that doesn't imply relativity at all. The realm here can include anyone who's well trained or adept, and who was trained as a full apprentice.

He's saying Maul is more comparable to Vader than these rogue Sith acolytes. Clearly Maul and Vader aren't equals, but it's impressive praise nonetheless.

If that's the context of the quote, then sure.

It's unclear to me if Rebels Maul is better or worse than TCW, but it doesn't seem like a seismic gap either way, seeing as they both have a form of evidence to show they can stand up to Vader. [/B]
Uh, being kind of in someone's realm isn't the same as being able to stand up to them in a fight. Whether or not there's a seismic gap between Rebels Maul and TCW Maul isn't going to prove TCW Maul can stand up to Vader in the same way we can assume Rebels Maul can via being close to Ahsoka.
On a side note, you might be persuaded by the case I make for Rebels Maul here:

"Right, so that doesn't imply relativity at all. The realm here can include anyone who's well trained or adept, and who was trained as a full apprentice."
The realm is exclusive to Sith Lords trained by Sidious, e.g Maul and Dooku. The likes of Savage and Ventress are not: they're inferior. They're not comparable to Vader in any way.
Being in Vader's realm of threat-level, skill, etc is a great accolade. Cumthe****on

Unless you're trying to argue anyone who wasn't trained by Sidious isn't in Vader's realm, this is a pointless distinction to be making.

I said otherwise?

Sure. It still doesn't mean Maul can stand up to Vader as of SOD.

Anyway. Here's what the Quote says:
quote: "So he's kind of in the Vader realm"
Here's what ILS says
quote: Maul can stand up to Vader
quote: him and Vader would have a good fight.
I'm sure you are all smart enough to spot the difference.
Good day dudes, I'd advise against attacking your own eyes

Naturally, saying the opposite of what Kbro believes is probably right on money. Now please stop giving us headaches.

The amount necessary to counter the migraines your arguments here induce is well beyond a fatal dose, sadly.

Rid yourself of this migraine.
Explain to me what you think "kind of being in someone's realm" means.

It depends who Maul attacks. I'm genuinely curious, who would he go for?

Let's look at the definition of "kind of", per Google:
quote: rather; to some extent (often expressing vagueness or used as a meaningless filler ).
Filoni obviously wasn't referring to him being vaguely in Vader's realm because he quite clearly details what puts him in that realm, and thus, we can safely conclude that:
A: It is, in fact, meaningless filler
and
B: You're reaching, big time.

Yea, saying that it's often used that way doesn't mean it was being used that way in this specific in this instance.
Honestly though, I don't care, because that was so utterly insignificant to my point that kicking up such a fuss over is it is kinda pathetic.
