Thor has no way of replicating what happened with the X-wing and the starting distance in a forum fight is 100 yards...

The Sentinels will be upon him very rapidly...

So thors lightning that wrecked an Chitari invasion and plugged the dimensional hole for a while isn't large enough to hit 30 Sentinels? They died from an explosion, they can't take much.
