I really really really want this to be good. A middle earth TV show could be so damn cool. I just hope they put some of that budget into hiring world class writers/directors and not just CGI, costumes and environment.

Fairly decent "trailer". Apparently the voice over is done by the new Galadriel actress. Quite a downgrade from Cate Blanchett. Hopefully she does better in the show proper.

Yeah agreed, that voice didn't do it for me, didn't carry any weight. Not sure if it's the voice itself or because Blanket did it so well and it's what's been ingrained in my head as proper.

Still f**king hyped over this. They better not sodomize it like they did with The Wheel of Time.

I read the books, lost tales, silmarillion, Hobbit when very young, then read Dune, the Saga of exiles, Thomas Covenant etc snd realised Lord of the rings is overated the films were too long and part of my life i will never get back. Give me Conan over Hobbits dwarves and elves any day. Hed have sorted all these magic problems out in no time and not touched anyones ring, unless it was an elven girl that is.

Did you ever see the live action TV show from the 90's? It was so bad it actually improves if you watch it in black and white, the hammy acting and effects feel right at home.
