Superman isn't a military man. Hell he's only been in one other legit confrontation. You're expecting a tactician from a farmer/drifter. Seems a bit much. And if you breakdown the fight, there weren't many opportunities to lure him away assuming he would even follow and not just start slaughtering innocents. Kal loses sight of Zod many times and when Zod pops up it's straight into the fisty cuffs
Lol at SM comparing an unexperienced Superman fighting phucking Kryptonians, alone, to The Avengers (alongside phucking shield) failing to contain lesser guys getting people killed anyway.
It's hardly a secret military tactic that nobody knows about. I've seen kids use it on a playground. you really don't want to break down the fight, because it'll just end with me going; see, he could have used flight right there about a 100 times and you disagreeing.

I didn't say it was a secret but you saying it's a military tactic is hardly helping your case. Are you referring to normal kids playing whereas Clark was anything but normal? Having had to avoid many of the close physical activities young boys participate in?
We can break down the fight. You seem to be under the impression that because he had the opportunity to attempt something means it would have work and/or that was the best course of action. You're Monday morning quarterbacking and acting like your word is gospel. You can pick apart any contact sport that way but your opinion means very little in that instance
Fact one, around 5,000 people died. Fact two, Superman made no effort to lead the fight to a less populated area. Conclusion, depraved-heart murder.

I already did. Zod started flying and Superman punched him up and away from the city. Zod Flew back down to the buildings and Superman lost sight of him

Your description doesn't sound anything like trying to move the fight to a less populated area, it sounds more like he just punched Zod into the air and then the fight continued in the heavily populated area.

Hulk was literally smashing the giant bugs into buildings, or straight up smashing them himself. And please, don’t bullshit by saying the Avengers evac everyone in the city.
Only Superman didn't knock him away from the city he merely hit Zod into the air and then continued to fight in a heavily populated area.
