Being a leftist doesn't automatically mean you have to throw out facts and science, however. That's what a lot of leftists get wrong. They let their feelings govern their political allegiances instead of letting the facts and science inform their positions. That's what leftists consistently get wrong all the time, what infuriates other leftists, and earns the disdain and mockery from the right.
You can see this rampant emotion-based ignorance just by talking to almost any "leftist" who is anti-Trump. It's pretty scary how ignorant and just plain wrong these people are just because of the TDS.
