Did Maul had a saber in hand?

Yes. Was Kenobi disarmed?

Are you dense? Is Maul not allowed to attack in different ways?

He punched Qui-Gon in the face, he pushed Obi-Wan onto the floor disarming him.

I don't see what the issue is.

Qui-Gon was exhausted after their fight on tatooine as well. He barely escaped with his life. So stop making excuses. Maul was simply the superior combatant to either one of them.

Urm, except it was a Saber fight, one which Maul won.

Kenobi never beat Maul in a Saber fight. He beat Maul in a surprise leap with someone else's weapon. He had no way to win with his own weapon.

Maul was the superior combatant as of TPM.

Heck after 10 years more experience (in The Clone Wars series), Kenobi still was having a very difficult time soundly defeating Maul who hadn't fought since TPM. So much for his superior skills with a Saber Lol.

There was no Force contest like there was in ROTS Between Obi-Wan and Anakin.

Maul kept hitting and disarming Kenobi because Maul was simply the superior combatant.

So? Vader lost his hand to a Padawan in a straight up fight. Whats your point?

Maul and Kenobi are about the same age btw, and had both been training for a similar length of time. Not that it matters.

So why didn't he beat him in the sword fight then?

Maul was the superior fighter as of TPM. No amount of crying or whining will change that.

Yes.

A disarmed Padawan was able to jump 3m+ high over a trained sith with a turned on saber. He was able to grab his Master's saber which was like 5m away, turn it on, and then turn around and slice the sith in Half!

Enough said, Kenobi is better. Period.

Debate is over.

Also, investigate about Soresu and Ataru.

Kenobi is Soresu, which focus heavily on defense, reason why he did better against Maul.

Qui Gon is Ataru, which isnt a good technique against close quarter areas. Also, Ataru drains a lot of stamina, which is bad news for an old Jedi.

Qui Gon was limited in his fight with Maul, and this is a known thing.

Again, i said that Maul was better with the Force than PADAWAN KENOBI.

Vader's fight with his son is a whole different thing.

laughing out loud Because Maul force pushed him!? And he did defeat him. Maul was sword in hand, therefore he could defend himself, yet he didn't.

Kenobi>>Maul.

So he couldn’t win with his own weapon thumb up

Debate over.

Soresu? Ataru? Weren't you the one who said this:

This is the Movie Versus Forum, we follow movie feats!

Can you tell me where in the movies Kenobi's and Qui Gon's fighting styles were mentioned?

Besides, in the end, Kenobi didn't win the fight by fighting defensively. Unless you think him rushing at Maul after Maul killed his master is defensive fighting.

Yes, Kenobi certainly wasnt the most defensive fighter in TPM era.

And Qui-Gon already fought Maul in an open environment on Tatooine, but still wasnt fairing much better.

Maul was just better. End the excuses.

So Maul wasn't competent enough to block it.

Debate is done as you claimed.

Yes i said so. Yet this is complementary material not open for debate. Isn't like the movies create debate in where such material would be nullified.

Ofcourse it played! Obi Wan's defensive style meant that Maul's offensive style was counteracted.

Obi Wan was defending himself properly and counterattacking properly, whilst Qui Gon was limited.

Rewatch the Tatooine fight.

Either way, do you know who is good enough to block such attacks?

minute 7: 35 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k3frK9-OiQ0

Obi Wan>>Maul, whether you like it or not!

laughing out loud

P.D. Isn't like Maul is better than Anakin laughing out loud

Wow. You've gone full troll dude. Complementary material? Unless otherwise specifically stated, we only debate via screen feats, and no amount of ultimatums on your part is going to change that. And nothing about Kenobi's final fight against Maul looked defensive. In fact he was the aggressor in that final fight.

Wow, you've gone full idiot. Has Quanchi infected you that much?

Either way, if we go merely on screen feats Obi Wan>>>>>Maul!

One way or another you are on the losing side! Maul couldn't block the attack therefore he got slaughtered in half! The sith was unprepared!

P.D:

Since I like to teach people

Inform yourself Quanchi..I mean, FrothByte.

On screen feats show Obi Wan winning via lucky shot against Maul. Notice how you're the only one denying this fact.

And, since I like to teach people, that vid you linked is being narrated by someone not from the movies we're discussing. In short, it's irrelevant.

The perception of fanatics! Oh dear!...

Funny, you claim it a lucky shot! You just don't want to admit that Maul was incompetent enough to block it, therefore you bring luck as to try cover reality.

Again, you can love Maul as much as you want, the fact is he was made a two and lost the duel! Get over it kid. Don't follow Quanchi's steps.

You know how things are with these people, you can't bring a comment without them crying and making a big show about it.

And you are right, i don't know why we ended up debating Maul.
