Leviathan (Marrina Smallwood) vs Midgard Serpent

Because I'm bored. Classic versions of both. IMHO, she can take him. Her durability in Leviathan form was insane, even the Ebony Blade wielded by Sub-Mariner didn't kill her (but it did phuck her up bad and KOed her for a long time).

BUMP. Is there no one on the forum thats into Sea Serpent type characters that's interested in this match?

For those of you who don't know who Marrina as Leviathan is, here are some feats for her :
Durability -
Atlantis' advanced weaponry does nothing
(please log in to view the image)
A full fleet of the Navy's most powerful ships do nothing
(please log in to view the image)

A crippled Thor shattered Midgard Serpent's teeth with a blow, but healthy Thor only 'momentarily stunned' Marrina. Also worth noting is that harpoons specially designed by Pym to pierce her skin and deliver an antidote couldn't do it
(please log in to view the image)

This is the big one, Thor and Captain Marvel combine their powers to unleash the mother of all energy attacks on her, she's not even scratched
(please log in to view the image)(please log in to view the image)

How much energy did Captain Marvel expel? This was her after everything was said and done, she was dying
(please log in to view the image)
Keep in mind this woman has destroyed an alien armada and hurt a skyfather (Zeus) and was never incapacitated like this.

How did the Avengers finally stop Marrina? Sub-Mariner stabbed her in the head with the Ebony Blade (a sword that's killed a Skyfather)
(please log in to view the image)

And after all this, she STILL wasn't dead! I mean the sword did phuck her up big time but she was more comatose than dead. LLan the sorcerer said she wasn't dead and Master of the World confirmed it when he found her body and started to experiment on her.

Didn't she reappear during the Utopia era?

I remember Namor impressing the X-Men when lifting her.

Yes she did. Midgard Serpent also reappeared in a mid 90s Thor story arc but Abhi pointed out that wasn't really the Midgard Serpent (it was a spirit form or illusion or something). That's why I wanted the classic versions of each character because those are their power levels before meddling.

Marrina was/is beastly power wise. Alpha Flight had some legit powerhouses on their team (Marrina, Snowbird, etc...).

The thing is, surviving the ebony blade is really not a feat. Because ebony blade's specialty is in its piercing ability not killing. It's supposed to cut everything not kill everything. If it cuts through an organic being and damages vital organs then... sure, it kills him. But otherwise, it's very much possible to survive it.

This is, after all, exactly what happened when the blade cut through the brethren in their bacteria forms yet they were unaffected by it. Or the beyonder instance (since beyonder doesn't have a human anatomy). That's also why it was stated to be ineffective against anyone without a soul. Like Vision claiming that he could break it at high enough densities and it would merely cut off his arm...but i digress.

That aside, leviathan was still pretty impressive. And i agree that Marrina wins.
