Mjolnir is essentially a superior universal weapon, then you factor in that Thor is stronger, tougher, and generally more powerful, and Ronan doesn't stand much of a chance.

well, judging by the feats people are posting over here of his strength feats, i am not sure that thor is stronger than him physically.

erm when was the last time that Thor used the hammer to manipulate matter?

Based off of these:

Casually makes a field of energy to hold Nova.

Casually beats Black Bolt

judging by those feats IMO ronan can easily match thor and give a very strong fight, if not win. unworthy thor will lose.

Thor is NOTICEABLY stronger and far more powerful. Mjolnir is much more potent than the Universal weapon.

This is like Thor or Silver Surfer vs. Super Skrull. It's only a fight until the top dog doesn't want it to be.

thumb up

That's without even mentioning that he's capable of shrugging off hits from Thor.
(please log in to view the image)

Also, what's stopping him from throwing up a time field so that the hammer ages rapidly
https://m.imgur.com/rTd54K5?r

And then teleporting the hammer into the sun so that it melts in a second?
https://static.comicvine.com/upload...13699_cell1.jpg

All this while making it more difficult for Thor to even move.
https://m.imgur.com/G89Kx9X?r

He's certainly not going to take a majority, but he can give Thor hell.

No offense man, but I don't think you're reading your own scans. He didn't shrug off a hit from Thor.

Mjolnir sweeped the leg.

Mjolnir is exceptionally difficult to manipulate, and is ageless. It will survive until the end of time billions of years into the future.

Mjolnir's ability to teleport and manipulate dimensional energies far exceeds the Universal Weapon. Mjolnir has also survive the energy of a Sun or more greater than a dozen times. Only once was it destroyed recently.

1. You say that it swept his leg like it was a gentle tap that took him down. That's a nearly indestrutable weapon that's being thrown by the god of thunder. Much more than a simple leg sweep.

2. I'm honestly just phucking with you.

3. It'll survive forever? Just like how it survived in the sun right? shifty

4. We go by the most recent showings though, so yeah, his hammer melts in the sun faster than Frosty the snowman on a mildly average day.

5. Thor doesn't even have the hammer right now. He has an axe that adds pretty much nothing to his abilities and apparently has trouble cutting even the hulk. big grin

Thor has done all that too, expect he actually beat Black Bolt and Silver Surfer:

He has as much of a chance as any of them did /shrug which on here doesn't amount to much.

I'm not saying it was gentle my friend. I am pointing out that he did NOT shrug off a blow from Thor, but was actually tripped by an attack that swept his leg.

Yes, Mjolnir does not age or crumble with time, it is eternal.

That's a little silly. If a writer has Superman as not bulletproof next week, I don't think we should be making Punisher vs. Superman threads.

The Hulk depending on the portrayal is arguably the most durable being on Earth. Other times, he has healed so fast, that even when cut, it is not noticed. Bad example. He is more physically formidable than Ronan if you're arguing that Thor will be unable to cut Ronan?

Ronan's big trump card is the Universal Weapon and matter manipulation. Even at it's most BASIC function, and with a complete idiot (Masterson), it quickly proved to be superior, and even BEYOND it's ability to analyze rendering Ronan's most potent weapon useless. Vs. the real Thor, the Universal Weapon was almost immediately rendered useless under another writer.

Together with Thor's far superior strength, durability etc. Ronan would get wrecked imo.

He channeled his transformative lightning through IM's suit and transformed a massively amped Diablo into a mortal. Matter manipulation may be Ronan's calling card, but even his best gets pooped on by Thor's.

When I said massively amped, Diablo had absorbed the Destroyer armor and was siphoning all the powers from earth's pantheons. He was basically a super skyfather "rewriting the fabric of creation" and whatnot. He was transformed into a mortal before he got fully acclimated to his newfound power.
