I was just throwing a lazy inarguable answer though lol. It's not one many would think of, but any who have any knowledge of the character know that there is literally zero chance the team could beat him.
I've never actually watched the entire film from begin to end (just seen clips and such), but I know the general gist. Wasn't he basically God by the end of it?
Should probably make a stip about no almighty God-type characters (like Bruce Almighty as well).

Not by the end of it. Sutter Cane is the author, with all that entails. He wrote the entire film, with the main character losing his mind at the revelation and cackling like a hyena as he watches the events of the film (aka, his life) on the big screen as the world apparently ends around him. Any opposition against him is impossible unless he writes it in.
Sounds a lot like Chuck from Supernatural, who wrote novels about the Winchesters that came true. Of course, it turned out that he was actually God (in the biblical sense) and was just dicking around on Earth because he'd basically given up on everything. Cane is probably partly where the writers for the show got the idea from.
They even do an author of the whole story-type bit:
Yeah, in the Supernatural universe, God is a middle-aged, scruffy-looking white guy (he looks way cleaner than normal in that clip). And he's a total dick.
