Platinum wasn't painting themselves in a positive picture with Kamiya acting the way he did either. Coulda had a better defense than practically "f*** all y'all" and being an impulsive jackass blocking anything that so much as breathed. Funny how it all coulda ended sooner. Compared to Hellena, it was easy to see where she was coming from, and it's nuts she seriously risked her career like this by lying. It's really unfortunate,
There was lack of evidence for either side until now. Kamiya has only himself to blame though for making people side with Hellena initially with how he was being about it all. Still see him as a manchild at the end of the day.
If you look at his early Twitter history, he seemed a lot nicer, but people have pointed out that he couldn't handle the trolls, death threats, and what comes with being a celebrity on Twitter so just treated it as a troll platform, he is self-aware and using Twitter to bring out his inner dick. He is cordial with people irl as well, but he seems jaded against people on Twitter in general.
A lot of celebs and people in the entertainment industry like to use Twitter because it's a good way to keep people updated on their work, or the work of the company they work for. Dunno why people are surprised, Kamiya has been an extremely hostile Twitter user for years, most notably people kept hounding him about asking how powerful Mundus was from DMC1, and he flipped calling them idiots and asking why tf they care so much.
Love how so many reviewers just have to bring up Devil May Cry 5, insisting it as far superior. One reviewer went so far as to claim Platinum Games is stuck in the past while Devil May Cry 5 had "moved on",
Uhh, Devil May Cry 5 and Bayo have the same gameplay style.
Combos and mechanics may slightly vary, but they're essentially the same experience.

But the combos and mechanics are the entire point of those games... Differences to those two things make a very different experience. I didn't play Bayo 3, but even if we only look at DMC5, Nero and Dante play in very different ways from one another.
Right, but that's not unique to DMC5. Reviewers act like Transformers Devastation or Viewtiful Joe didn't have characters with completely different play styles.
Basically they smell of hit pieces. Which has been common against the Nintendo Switch in general, I was looking up reviews of Nier Automata one reviewer bluntly opened with "I don't think the Switch version is worth your money."
Puff pieces and hit pieces have always been a problem, but now they don't even try and be subtle about it.
I don't even own a Switch, it just stands out to me. Of course the Doom Eternal port won't stand up to any other version, we know that going in, don't tell us "ditch the low powered console for a gaming PC" and judge it on its own merits.

Metal Gear Rising too, the boss weapons amounted to different fighting styles.
Plus you had Blade Wolf and Jetstream Sam dlc.
