i did not read the OPs. i can make a formal ruling on the issue at hand, or leave it to the judges to decide. up to you guys.
and since i neglected to put a starting distance in place, yes, 50 km it is. i won't be able to look at the match until later tonight if you decide you want me to.
My understanding is different than Phil's. I read Leo's quote as being about summoned creatures (hence "do it on your own with your chosen characters") not about the act of summoning items.
Since Phil and I see this differently and are both judges maybe a Leo ruling would be best.
So my understanding is that characters are able to use their standard gear, and for quite a but during the pre God pack run, Thor demonstrated he Carried that stuff around with him. In a pocket dimension that he kept handy for when needed. That's not the same thing as me saying, I teleport the destroyer armor to me where I enter it and blah blah blah....
...because that's not a tactic Thor has used ever. It's also not the same as reaching for the Odin sword or anything else of the sort. This is Thor's gear.
And it seems a quite obvious difference than Dr. Strange accessing am infinity stone or something.
The reason I didn't do this vs Leo waa because I originally thought it was .5km distance, and didn't want to get spanked while I put on my armor.

ok, i'll read through it later today and make an official ruling on the matter. if it clears things up, the rule was targeting creatures, but the no loopholes/shenanigans means if there is something being used in the match that would NOT under normal circumstances be used by said character in a comic, it is no good. from my very brief look at the issue, this feels like something that can be proven or disproven in match. ie--if judges feel this is something thor would do in a battle, and borg can prove he has time and access to the material, it can be allowed and judges can determine the validity. if judges DON'T feel it is or COULD BE considered a standard move by thor, or if borg doesn't provide suitable proof of that fact, then judges can rule it invalid and simply disregard that part of the post.
if this definition suffices, i leave it to the judges. if you still want me to make an official ruling, i'll do so later today. let me know.
There's a clear difference in opinion between Phil and Smurph in how they will handle the judging if left to their own opinion, and that's not fair for either of us.
But as stated above, I've given indication of why this is hardly far fetched, while still within the realm of decency.

ok, after reading his OP i'm going to disallow the armor. the reason is simple--strange would also have access to many uber weapons that he could instantly summon, but since he was only allowed the most standard equipment, he has not done so. that armor is not in any way at all what i would call standard for thor. for that reason, i have to say no, per the spirit of the rule. sorry borg. too allow it would open....a sh!t can of worms given what strange might argue for being able to call down.
i also don't think this ruling is in any way at all a deathknell for you in this match, not by any stretch of the imagination based on the rest of your OP.

huh. i'm sure phil would judge very fairly based on what was the balance of your post, but i'll round up a replacement and let you both know who when they get back to me.
Well, that was weird. That's what I get for talking about the rules, I guess. Hopefully Abhi doesn't want Smurph out, since he had the opposite interpretation.
Good luck to both of you

yeah, your replacement judge is the legend herself, kmc's own grande dame, cdb.
i've pm'd one other. if he is interested then we'll add scoob to the list and go with 5, otherwise we'll stick with the 3 we have.
charlotte, if you didn't see the ruling, you are to DISCOUNT borg's use of his armor for the match. everything else goes, but he is not wearing odin power armor.
