I've always been curious as to what specific accomplishments in his career as a politician can be pointed to, cuz usually people just talk about his war service.

I will say though, people said Trump was being petty with the flag thing. The more I learn about McCain, the more it seems like pettiness is a fitting tribute to the guy.
