Does anyone else remember the old Marvel Star Wars comics from the 70s? The ones that were just absolutely terrible and stupid? That's what these panels are like. The garbage comics of the earliest days of Star Wars EU.
And they both got bought by Disney. Circle is complete.

Granted, their dialogue was better; these ones now are *retching noise*
But the old Marvel Star Wars comics are f*cking weird and dumb. They didn't have an established body of lore or a canon to work with, and Star Wars was still new, but... eesh. But they had some charm to them. These new ones are just... just terrible.

Yeah, it's honestly a shame because the comics used to be really good, but now they're just painful to read like most other canon material. Hell, the Doctor Aphra series is 10x worse than even the Vader stuff I posted above, yet somehow that has also made it this far... Probably because the lead character is female AND lesbian. #WokeDisney
The only reason I'm still cautiously optimistic is because Soule is about to relaunch the main Star Wars series, along with upcoming Rise of Kylo Ren mini. I've enjoyed all the SW material that Soule has written so far, so my fingers are crossed that he'll be able to course-correct the comic side of things a bit. We'll see...
