The name calling stuff from "both sides" has been happening since the days of the Tories and the Whigs. It's almost central and tradition to be doing this. We have historical documentation about this stuff from the very beginning days of US History.
Hell we've had politicians legit murdered over fake news lol. Oh those old timey ways.
