If things are too convenient or have clear cutoffs on data trails, it's an automatic red flag during a forensics investigation. I literally just got done with one of these at work.
Data forensics and crime scene forensics do have commonalities. But there are huge differences, as well. If someone appears to be sanitized...they probably are.
I'm not doubting your skills and knowledge, but I'd suspect the FBI did and are still doing a massive background check into every facet of this guy's life. Seems he is who he seems and not a patsy.
Which is why I wait for them to seal the deal. If it comes back that this guy wasn't sanitized and it is legit, that's a pretty solid case closed. But I'll be looking for reasons why he appears to be sanitized.

Cesar Sayoc's (aka The MAGAbomber) trial is set for July, he's expected to plead guilty to at least some of the charges.
He's already tried laying out what could maybe be an insanity-style defense by claiming that Trump rallies were a "new found drug" and that Trump's self-help CDs 'reprogrammed his mind'.
Trump is not responsible for what that nut did. If you believe he is then you also have to blame Bernie Sanders for that socialist nut who attempted to kill a bunch of republicans (and almost succeeded in killing Scalise) at that baseball practice a few years back. Cesar Sayoc, the Florida bodybuilder and nightclub bouncer who mailed inoperative pipe bombs to prominent Democrats and media figures seen as critical of President Trump, was sentenced to 20 years in prison by a federal judge in New York on Monday.
Sayoc, 57, had been arrested in October 2018 and pleaded guilty in March to mailing 16 improvised explosive devices to 13 targets around the country, including 11 current or former U.S. government officials, in the weeks prior to the 2018 congressional elections.
"I wish more than anything I could turn back time and take back what I did," Sayoc told U.S. District Judge Jed Rakoff. "But I want you to know, Your Honor, with all my heart and soul, I feel the pain and suffering of these victims." -snip

He's just a star/fly sock, this one is a parody of a far right Trumper, its purpose is to be so ridiculous that other Trumpers in here seem more normal.
But what he said has been used by Trumpers to equalize before in here. AFAIK, Bernie Sanders doesn't urge his followers to commit acts of violence, Trump does. The fear mongering and blanking certain types of people as evil, murderers and/or enemies doesn't help either.
