I mean my parents are center-left, but they were never really pushy about their politics, so there's not really much of a drive for me to rebel.
Honestly, I was very reluctant to become right-wing economically, but a combination of economic debates and discussion with some friends, and recognition that free market economics is much more in line with the classical liberal values I deeply admired pulled me in that direction.
It really had nothing to do with my parents.
