New Krypton isn’t an arc I’d reference as a Superman fan outside of a few instances. A lot of hand ninja syndrome. It was pretty funny watching it all unfold with the moon struggling by the entire city and then Braniac’s ship.

Kara survived the blast because she retained her powers. That doesn't mean that the blast chamber did not shield her from the planetary destruction in anyway. As a matter of fact, he says AND the blast that destroyed the planet.

He was also koed by Ego blast which destroyed a planetoid and feared a planetoid destruction would kill him in another issue.
