So what do you guys think? Was Sidious a clone or not?

I'm guessing he was a clone --- cloning was mentioned in the movie, so that makes perfect sense.
I guess we should wait for some comic book tie-in or whatever to elaborate on that.
...
But... why should we care, exactly?

I cannot stand these flimsy and poor explanations...I can't see how people prefer TLJ and RoS over the PT and in some cases the OT too.
I get film taste is subjective....but for the life of me, I cannot see it. The PT and OT had a much better story telling aspect.

Its all subjective but The numbers tell their own story. They started off HUGE with TFA, but theyve literally lost half their audience now. TROS will make less than Aquaman and it was supposed to be their Endgame

Think it has been revealed (if you call it an explanation) in the TROS VD.
The Sith Acolytes recovered his body (Lmao), brought him to Exegol and through a mixture of Occult and Technology revived him:
https://screenrant.com/star-wars-ri...dictionary/amp/
The VD doesn't actually mention them bringing his body back to Exegol.

So Snoke was a body inhabited by Sheev's consciousness all along?
I guess Quan was right all along when he said he was the strongest in the dark side

As of now, all the info suggests that Palpatine and Snoke were separate/independent beings, with separate/independent powers... Snoke was essentially just playing the same role as Dooku.

There was something gayly flamboyant and elegant about both Dooku and Snoke. And both their bodies did wind up in two pieces in front of a throne...
Confirmed. Snoke was a Dooku clone.

Gayle flamboyant is the first redeeming quality of Snoke I've heard in this board

So no one talking about Trevorrows leaked script before he got replaced by Abrams:
https://collider.com/star-wars-9-co...k-plot-details/
I still obviously would have had issues with this trilogy, but this sounds much less of a mess, and could have potentially been the best of the trilogy.

Some of the concept artwork/plots sound interesting, to say the least...

Or, perhaps, they wanted to de-canonize Plagueis.
Well, I'm glad it didn't happen.
