Trumpers are going to support Trump no matter what he does and no matter how damning Mueller's report and/or the other investigations are. If it's collusion, expect "So what if he colluded, it was to make America great again." or similar.
Today he said: "When during the campaign, I would say 'Mexico is going to pay for it,' obviously, I never said this, and I never meant they're gonna write out a check, I said they're going to pay for it. They are."
In 2016: "It's an easy decision for Mexico: make a one-time payment of $5-10 billion to ensure that $24 billion continues to flow into their country year after year."
It might help to read the OP instead of just the title.

Seriously, if that's what people have on Trump, for this long, accusing Trump of lying about saying Mexico would pay for the wall...there's nothing there.
I honestly thought Trump said Mexico would pay for the wall until now.

Yeah, he seemingly did contradict what he just said and even if we excuse that as just more Trump-speak, where he says something and then takes it back in the same or following breath, he's flat-out lying about never saying there would be a one-time payment from Mexico.
And no where in there does Trump say, "Mexico will pay for the wall."
Language is important. Not your twisted interpretations.
I apologize that you don't like it that I am not falling for the bullshit lie that Trump said, "Mexico will pay for the wall." He clearly did not say that. Indirectly, yup, he has a plan to get Mexico to pay for it. But he didn't say that, did he? No, he did not. And making the suggestion that Mexico can pay for it is not the same thing, either. This is not splitting hairs. This is people like you trying your hardest to have another Trump gotcha.
A better comparison would be a free-loader room mate that eats your food, doesn't pay rent, and doesn't pay bills. So you say you are shutting off the electricity to their bedroom and if they want electricity, they can make a payment for all of it 2 years in advance for 1/100th the cost of the electricity in that bedroom.
Anyone else find it odd that Trump supporters (at least this one in particular) doesn't actually deny all of what I said, just sort of gloats that it's not actually grounds for impeachment? It's odd to me that there is such pride that our Constitution is lacking in weeding out such a dangerous imbecile for a president. Obviously there is a bug in our system.
I don't find it odd as they don't see him as the dangerous imbecile he is, they see him as the orange billionaire (white and ill educated people) peoples champion.
