Generally, the primaries are purity tests far more than general elections, the problem that Matt discussed is that going into the general elections with these sound bites will make it harder for them to stand next to Trump and sound reasonable.
In all fairness the Dems tried a center left approach in 16. They are responding to the populist tone it the last election and the general dissatisfaction most leftists had with Obama's administration because of their constant attempts to pander to the center and water down their policies.
It could backfire on the Dems long term. But it's clear enough in this election that they're going to try the hard line progressive approach, and I'm honest intrigued to see if it will work cause they're nothing more boring and uninspiring than centrist politics.

She annoyed me every time she opened her mouth during the debate. She says nothing specific... All word play. And she has a weird outdated rich lady accent. She talks the way I imagine a character from the great Gatsby to sound.

She's good on foreign policy but that's basically a 2008 era Democratic platform. The Democrats are more fighting over domestic issues atm like healthcare.
They shot themselves in the foot when they all raised their hands when asked about giving illegals healthcare.
I also laughed at the one guy who started talking about transgender women getting abortions. Such wokeness.

Yeah they are straying too far to the left in some areas. I would say with the illegal immigrant thing it looks bad but logically we already give illegals access to healthcare because hospitals are required to have an open door policy regardless of whether the patient has insurance if they want to be about to accept govt subsidized insurance like Medicare as a form of payment. Since hospitals rely on being able to accept Medicare and Medicaid patients, they have no choice but to treat anyone who walks in the emergency room. Rather than giving illegals insurance I would just suggest stick with the open door policy which still technically leaves the uninsured patient with the bill. That way we aren't letting people just die on our streets based on citizen status, which is inhumane, but we also aren't giving sick 3rd world people an added incentive to come here just for healthcare.
I know she's not running for Pres, but do you think AOC is qualified to be a congresswoman? She doesn't have a J.D, and despite having graduated cum laude with a economics and international studies degree from Boston University was stuck working as a bartender prior to being elected.
She's not qualified to do much of anything really, ergo she's perfectly qualified to be a congresswoman.

Seriously though you need to have some serious personality issues if you can't land a big-boy/girl job after graduating cum laude with an economics degree from a fairly prestigious university.
Trying to get a job in investment banking or hedge funds (as is typical with economics graduates) is probably quite difficult while simultaneously going on about redistribution of wealth.

If he had said trans men he would've been technically correct, though still pandering. But when Dems talk about abortions they can't help but insert woman in every other word.
