We saw Carol traveling at LS in space. No evidence to claim she can't outspeed Superman.

Even if she were to travel at 1/100 of the speed of light in the atmosphere, that would still outmatch Superman by far.

Double the speed and you will quadruple the drag force on you.

How can she outspeed him if she is not given a chance to act. Superman can pop her at anytime (before she makes a thought).
