I didn't hate it at first (well, Sonic's look sucked, but it was quickly announced that would be changed).

It looks better than Detective Pikachu that was a borefest.

From the new design of Sonic and this trailer, I think they also changed a few scenes?

I think this movie could do pretty well. Not like make tons of money, but I can see it doing decent enough.

Never been a fan of Pokemon anyway myself, I grew up when it all started too. i gravitate more towards DBZ.

Sonic arguably has as much love put into his design as Pikachu did now. Detective Pikachu as a film was decent at best imo; can see the Sonic movie at least being on par now.
