I think the British, like the US, is experiencing the Bradley Effect.
Hardly anyone wants an invasion of a bunch of poor, crime-ridden, immigrants/refugees.
Very few people like to be publicly shamed into giving up their homes, money, and resources.
And, still, not very many people want to pay more in taxes.
Seflishness is really what all of this is about. And I'm okay with selfishness up to a certain point. As more and more of the young people grow up the be conservative, we will see this trend continue.
Thanks, Gen Z! The overly politically correct Gen X and Millennials need to drink a nice large warm cup of STFU. I will try my best to hire as many hard-working, un-virtue signaling, Gen Z folks.
How did Jeremy Corbyn lose? He announced his pronouns and everything.

So sounds like this was basically a second vote on Brexit for most people and the pro brexit crowd won. Now the conservatives will have no excuse not to execute on Brexit and reap the rewards or take responsiblity for whatever happens as a result.
That sounds like sour grapes to me. Waah, waah, waah, more people are growing up to be conservative, wah, wah, wah!! Cry me a river, socialist.
Nah, people who are totally ok with government taking most of someone's income and then redistributing around to people it doesn't rightly belong to are the really selfish ones. People who think they are entitled to have all of their student loan paid off by taxpayers are the truly selfish ones. Conservatives aren't the selfish ones. The crybaby socialists who think they are entitled to everything are.
And nope, as someone who is proudly part of gen X, I'm not gonna be shutting up anytime soon about conservatives winning, dude, so get f***ing used to it, sore loser. Save your crybaby tears though... you're gonna be needing them even more in November of next year.

Who does that remind you of? It certainly does sound familiar...it's as if we are seeing a phenomenon similar to what began a few years ago, right around late 2016/early 2017. Maybe not on as large a scale, but oh it's there.
And the guardian is also calling for the UK to have their own Mueller Report about Russia now.
F*cking giggle.
