KMC Forums - Regarding misconceptions on Nihilus's TK feat on Malachor V and his Ravager 'bond'

There are some things I would like to point out on this topic as I have seen some misconceptions going around in the past. The misconceptions were mainly claiming that Nihilus did not carry his fleet on Malachor V and that it was his 'bond' to the Ravager that did this.

Now regarding this topic, I would like you to take a look at the following quotes and pay close attention to the bold parts.

The Ravager was hauled from the gravity well at Malachor V by its new master. He used it to escape imprisonment on Malachor V.

Question: "Also, why was Darth Nihilus's ship intact after he died, even though Tobin said he holds the ship together by his power?"

Answer: "Nihilus: Some poetic license was taken with the Ravager – I mostly wanted Nihilus to have a ghost ship in keeping with his personality. It wouldn’t immediately fall apart without Nihilus, but his presence there and his ties to it make minor changes and upkeeps to its function and hull that keep it intact – if barely. When killed, the ship would slowly begin to fall apart into wreckage, although it’s not held together by any sort of super Telekinesis."

Firstly, looking at the first two quotes, it is heavily implied that Nihilus used TK to lift the ship from the gravity well as the words 'tore' and hauled' are used which clearly resemble a pulling action. Not only that, the first quote clearly says that it is a measure of his [Nihilus] power. This makes it very clear that it was Nihilus, as it is stated that it was his power that allowed this to happen, and not his ship 'bond' that carried out this feat. To further support this, take a look at the second quote again. The second quote mentions that the Ravager was hauled "by its new master" indicating that Nihilus was not the owner of this ship beforehand. This means that Nihilus only became the owner of the Ravager at that time and not anytime before that. How do we even know that Nihilus has already established a bond with the Ravager during his TK feat? He was never the owner of the ship beforehand and even if he managed to establish a bond with the Ravager at that time it would be pretty weak considering he literally just became the new owner of it. When Chris Avellone answers the question, he is talking about a time way after the events of Malachor V which would have made it plausible for such a 'bond' to be established between Nihilus and the Ravager considering some time has passed since he became the new owner. In fact, when you take a look at the answer by Chris, he mentions that this 'bond' makes minor changes to the ship and barely keeps it intact. During the Malachor V events, the Ravager's engines were destroyed. How can this bond that is only capable of making minor changes fully repair the engines? Repairing the engines is definitely not a minor thing and if the engines weren't repaired then who moved the ship other than Nihilus? In fact, how would this bond that is only capable of minor changes (to re-iterate) be capable of helping Nihilus in lifting and moving a ship that is 1200 m long ? (this is ignoring the other fleet)

The points I made above make it very clear that Nihilus pulled the Ravager on his own without the support of the 'bond' established between him and the Ravager, which probably was not even established during the time of his TK feat. Chris Avellone's answer was simply talking about how the Ravager was being maintained in space, through the minor changes made by the 'bond', and has got nothing to do with his TK feat on Malachor V. The 'bond' does indeed keep the Ravager intact (evidenced by the fact that the ship does not fall apart immediately after his death) but only after the events on Malachor V, as I have established above, meaning that the ship was held intact by Nihilus during his TK feat and by the bond after this. One of the main functions of the bond (it also allows Nihilus to draw power from the ship) is to keep Nihilus's ship intact instead of him having to use TK at all times to keep it intact. If Nihilus had to use TK to keep the ship intact it would take a lot of his energy and hunger considering he has to always keep his TK on (or the ship falls apart).
