If Bill hooked up and had a loving relationship with a female character, same basic story, just a woman, they'd literally have no problem with it.
So yeah, it's about it being two men that has the sensitive types so upset...
They did the same shit with The Walking Dead, no problem letting their kids watch a show where zombies eat people and humans murder, rape and pedo-rape each other. But two men kissing and it's "Wokeness!", "Agendas!" "But my children!".
I haven't seen this show yet, but yes. Conservatives are triggered by anything that confirms the existence of gay people. They literally seem like they are in denial that they exists... and if they do exist, they shouldn't... and shouldn't have rights.
On the other hand, being grossed out by gay if you are not gay is perfectly normal.
I sure don't want to see that shit. Not gonna boycott over it but just saying, if this was Mr. Mind scat pandering there would be no debate and you'd openly act grossed out

Episode 3 was brilliant, top tier TV episode. Both actors were amazing and performances filled with nuance. Made changes from the game but was better for it, turned what was a fairly forgettable and tropey segment of the game into what will probably be the highlight of the entire season of the show.
The "gay scene" is little more than kissing, it's not porn. The episode was solid world building and well acted.
Conservatives are so vocally against seeing men kiss because when they see it, it makes them think of the gay sex they'd like to have and their closet doors start creaking open and then what would Jesus say.
I dunno man, I couldn't unsee that Boys scene, it literally kept me up a few nights.

Full on cgi rendering of an anus hit me harder then when South Park did it, probably because the butthole looks pretty realistic. But maybe I'm just a snowflake. 💗

Also Stilt started being mean again in the beautiful mind thread in Vs. He does it every time I start taking like a Trumper in other forums, at this point I just do it to verify if he's stalking me.

I don’t think it’s filler or unnecessary. Episodes like that are useful for world building and to make the world feel bigger and more lived in. If all the episodes just concentrate on Joel and Ellie then the world will feel much smaller and artificial. Reminding us that there are other people and other stories outside of Joel and Ellie’s goes a long way in improving the world and making the main story richer.
I hope they do more episodes like that in the future.
I understand they needed to ramp up the relationship building between Joel and Ellie but not convinced they needed an episode of essentially nothing to do it. We've now effectively had 2 full episodes with no infected except 1 on Bill's security camera feed getting shotgunned in the face.
I hope they quickly skip passed Kansas City because I absolutely detest Melanie Lynskey as an actress. She's horrendous.
