It seems to explain that he took it upon himself to not alert anyone and the SS, but instead climbs up the ladder to confront a shooter by himself, then chickens out? Does not make sense. Shooter was spotted 2 minutes before firing, and was seen by many people who pointed it out to police. There was no excuse to leave a perfect snipers nest unsecured.
I think this was f*cking staged and the police/SS were in on it

If there's a conspiracy: More willing to buy that the shooter was purposely trying to miss Trump to make it seem like an attempted assassination while sacrificing himself for glorious leader, as Trumpers have said "I'd die for Trump", but he accidentally got too close due to bad aim and/or being rushed.
But as it seems thus far: Republican shooter and Trump supporter for some unknown reason and zero indication that he had issues with Trump, tried to murder Trump and missed by an inch or two with one bullet and more with the rest of his shots.
The rooftop with the line of sight 500 feet away being left alone makes no sense. Can't explain that one other than sheer idiocy.
Either way, this is massively helping Trump at just the right time. When Trump is the victim of 8+ years of his own endless political vitriol.

i'm being a cutiepie. someone ran a shitload of proxies to appear a mob of 11000 people. the previous record was from KMC's peak, which was due to the popularity of star wars prequels back in 04/05 (the reason i joined).
this place was bustling then. i don't remember the amount of users it was before then, only that it wasn't even close to 11k. it was very busy and often difficult to maintain threads of conversation because the pages were turning so damn fast from all the posting.

You probably wont like this, but i think GL ruined it and sold its mutilated corpse to disney. Disney just reanimated it and made it perform some amusing tricks, like mando and grogu for example. GL forgot the creative process that made the original trilogy so awesome. the prequels were not a truly collaborate effort as the originals were, and he was obviously not taking any form of constructive criticism with screenwriting. that was the secret ingredient from the 70's/80's that was lacking in the prequels: george lucas' humility
:edit: mind you, for all it's flaws, i found ep 1 to be a great standalone film, and a testament to lucas' exceptional writing and directing abilities
